Sullivan Title: High-contrast Litho Photography Additional materials needed: Ortho litho developer, parts A& B and ortho litho film Procedure : High-contrast photography is a simple method of transposing an image from a continuous-tone negative to an extremely high-contrast film (ortho litho film). This will produce a high-contrast positive that will transform all tonal values to total black and total white. This positive is then used to create a high-contrast negative to create an image on photograph paper. The result is a striking image where as all of the neutral gray tones are either dropped out of the image entirely or reduced to distinct black granular dots. I feel as though this series of images describes you almost perfectly and I love the depth in "BUDDA". The lighting on the figure compared to the background lighting makes the photo very interesting and dramatic.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Sunapee Souvenirs scan. I think the quality of this scan is really crisp and nice, and I like the simple white background. The objects you chose for this one scanned in really nicely and I think it's very nicely done!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the first "1940 Fashion by LRS", however I think the marble one will make an incredible cyanotype. The depth and patterns are amazing.
